Over two decades and six features, Kelly Reichardt has emerged as a mistress of minimalism whose low-key indies speak volumes to those set to listen. This collection contains her three best-known titles (Ancient Joy, Wendy And Lucy and the western Meek’s Cutoff) and also her first (River Of Grass), an anti-Badlands which takes that movie’s prerequisites (a guy, a girl and a gun), then cleverly subverts them.
