Watch out: Kelly Ripa and Rosie O’Donnell to share a building

On Monday the staff of “The View” restore to work to a new studio and office space, a building that will now hold both Rosie O’Donnell and her nemesis Kelly Ripa.

“The building is the entire city block but I am not sure it is big enough to hold both Rosie and Ripa,” laughed an ABC source.  “They have not spoken since 2006 when Rosie called her homophobic; this is going to get hideous.”

During the summer pause “The View” went from its home of 16 years on the West Side to the old Katie Couric studio and office space on 66th St.

The terrible blood between Kelly and Rosie started back in November of 2006 when Ripa scolded Clay Aiken, who was co-hosting “Live!” with her, for putting his hand over her mouth, Rosie took it as a homophobic act and voiced her opinion on “The View,” ultimately leading to a pretty tense argument between the two via buzz-call live on the air!

Then on Nov. 12, Rosie ran into Kelly at Madonna’s MDNA show at Madison Square Backyard, which led the candid comedian to write on Twitter: “Kelly Ripa — the girl can hold a grudge.”

Six years later Rosie admitted to NeNe Leakes while guest hosting “Anderson Live” that the Aiken fracas had hurt their friendship. “She was very hurt and so even though we talked about it and I apologized, she, I reckon, doesn’t trust me anymore… I wasn’t saying, ‘Kelly is a bitch.’ I was just saying she can hold a grudge but she’s allowed.”

But, another insider tells Confidenti@l there is little need to worry. “They have more chance bumping into each other at an ABC have fun or advertiser event then in the ABC building. Kelly arrives, does her show and leaves. Rosie, who has a history of being a much more hands-on producer, has offices on the other side of the building. The only way they will meet is if Kelly is a guest on “The View,” which isn’t going to take place.”

Emails to Ripa’s publicists for note were not returned. O’Donnell’s publicist scolded us and said, “This is a silly question.”

O’Donnell’s scourge Donald Trump told Confidenti@l he would happily restore as a guest, and may we suggest to “The View” bookers that Kelly Ripa would perfect the perfect lineup.
