Best Of London Fashion Week Spring 2015 – Burberry, Tom Ford And More

London Fashion Week wraps up today, and it’s been an impressive one, full of creative collections that are already making our covet list for spring 2015. It was a tough task to narrow down, but here are our five favourite showings from the week:

Burberry Prorsum

Re-inventing the wheel is an impossible task, so it was with splendid astonishment that Burberry changed their classic trench and made it denim. Although the original is classic for a reason, we like the young take on what we take upon yourself will now be spring 2015′s largest trend: jean trench coats.

Simone Rocha

Simone Rocha didn’t disappoint at her spring 2015 showing. As one of our designers to watch at London Fashion Week, we were particularly intrigued as to what we’d see and were impressed. Using a floral cutout print on most of her pieces, Rocha brought that variety in texture that we’ve come to expect from her collections.

Tom Ford

After a much hyped live spill, Tom Ford showed his usual steamy style but with more of an elegant twist. Known for his highly sexual designs, it was nice to see a touch of subtlety in some of Ford’s pieces. There was beyond doubt a grunge feel to the collection as well, further cementing that the ’90s really are back.

Erdem

Erdem’s spring 2015 collection is literally all about the jungle. Not only is the palette mostly forest and hunter greens, but there was a wildness in each piece that captured the raw experience of being deep within a rain forest. It was moodier than we expect from the designer, but all the more beloved.

David Koma

Known best for his architectural detailing in black and white, Koma tried his hand at colours and details this season. Pops of yellow highlighted the cutouts on his otherwise white dresses and his symmetrical cut tops were adorned with multi-coloured crystals. We loved his new electric take for spring.

Roksanda

The brightly coloured collection from Roksanda was a welcome exchange from the neutral shades that flooded LFW. Taking a slimmer approach to her silhouettes, the artful flourishes of bold lines and free-form ruffles kept the look playful and original.
