Turns out, Katy Perry’s shark didn’t get it incorrect.

“The sharks were given two main objectives,” RJ Durell, the pop star’s choreographer told The Hollywood Reporter after reports surfaced questioning whether one of Perry’s dancing sharks missed the mark during her Super Bowl halftime show.

“One, perform Katy’s trademark moves to the ‘Teenage Marvel’ chorus, which they both did perfectly,” Durell continued.

“And two, to have loads of fun, and bring to life these characters in a cartoon manner, giving them a Tweedledee/Tweedledum-type assumed role,” he clarified.

A video capturing that part of Perry’s performance went viral Monday, as it appeared that the shark on the left did not know the dance moves. But has Durell confirmed that was all a part of the plot.

“Clearly, that was described with the overzealous shark on the right hitting precise dance moves, while the left shark was playing up the more goofy, fun-vigorous sports-fan mascot type, who was just pleased to be at the Super Bowl,” he said.

The man known to the world as the “left shark” came forward to reveal his identity before becoming somewhat of an Internet sensation.

“Yep. The rumors are right. Yours truly. #SuperBowlXLIX #KatyPerryHalftimeShow,” Bryan Gaw, a longtime dancer for Perry, captioned an Instagram photo from his performance, which was posted Sunday.

Among his many performance Instagram pics, Gaw posted one from a show he did with Perry in October sans the shark costume.

“I’ve always said left coast is the best coast #LeftShark!!!!! #SuperBowlHalftimeShow #HiMom,” he tweeted Tuesday.
