This is guaranteed to turn Robert De Niro into a “Raging Bull” — a $ 6.4 million tax lien from the IRS.
The feds announced they were dunning De Niro in a Feb. 3 notice to New York City’s Department of Finance that was obtained Thursday by The Smoking Gun website.
The two-time Academy Award-winning actor was told three months ago that the regime would go after his Tribeca condominium if “you neglect or fail to pay a tax debt.”
The bill for a whopping $ 6,410,449.20 was from his personal tax filing from 2013, according to the papers.
De Niro won his second Oscar in 1980 for playing fighter Jake LaMotta in “Raging Bull.”
A big New York booster, De Niro last year did a commercial promoting tourism in the Empire State and helped The Day after day News raise more than $ 620,000 to help the families of murdered police officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu.
There was no immediate note from the beloved actor.
