Tracy Morgan marries long-time fiancée minus cane or walker

Comedian Tracy Morgan was honest about getting married, but he didn’t want to get hitched in anticipation of he could make it down the aisle on his own.

Morgan made good on his goal Sunday night, tying the knot with his long-time fiancée Megan Wollover, without a cane or walker in sight.

Fourteen months after he was severely injured in a highway crash that killed one of his best friends, Morgan said “I do” to the inspiring woman who always told him he could.

“After almost losing Tracy last year, I am so grateful to finally be married to the like of my life,” Wollover told People magazine. “We have been through so much and our like is stronger for it.”

Months earlier, Morgan had told the publication that he would walk down the aisle on the strength of his own two legs.

“I don’t want to walk my wife down the aisle with a cane or in a wheelchair,” he said. “So I had to go hard with the therapy … I had to get better. There was no ifs, ands or buts about it.”

The couple’s 2-year-ancient daughter Maven was among the family and friends on hand as the couple exchanged vows during an intimate ceremony.

A week earlier, Morgan and Wollover hosted joint bachelor and bachelorette parties, according to E! Online.

About 25 of their closest friends loved a bowling night out at Lucky Strike.

The wedding was the second foremost Morgan announcement in the past week.

NBC reps said the former Saturday Night Live star will host the show Oct. 17.

Morgan was returning from a Delaware comedy show in June, 2014 when his luxury limo bus was rear-finished by a Walmart truck on the New Jersey Turnpike.

The crashed killed Morgan’s mentor and friend James McNair, and left Morgan with a broken leg, several broken ribs and severe brain trauma.

Morgan and several other passengers injured in the accident reached a agreement with Walmart.

A criminal complaint alleges that the Walmart truck driver, Kevin Roper, had not slept for more than 24 hours and was driving 20 miles over the speed limit at the time of the accident.

A year later, a teary Morgan appeared on the “Today” show to thank his doctors and fans.

“I can’t wait to get back to (comedy), but right now, my goal is just to heal and get better,” Morgan said at the time.

“Because I’m not 100 percent yet. I’m not. And when I’m there, you’ll know it. I’ll get back to making you laugh. I look excellent you.”
