Billy Joel is in A New Wife State Of Mind. The pop legend got hitched for the fourth time in a bolt from the blue ceremony Saturday, his spokeswoman said.
At 66, he married his 33-year-ancient pregnant girlfriend, Alexis Roderick, during the couple’s annual Independence Day have fun, springing it on a small group of friends and family, Claire Mercuri confirmed to the Day after day News.
New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a longtime pal of Joel’s, administered the ceremony at Joel’s Long Island estate, a week after lawmakers granted him that authority.

Joel and Roderick, a former Morgan Stanley staffer, started dating in 2009, the same year he and his third wife separated and more than two decades after he split from his second wife – Christie Brinkley. In April, Joel and Roderick announced they were expecting, and reports say that the baby is a girl.
The unexpected vows played out in front of a small, exclusive group at the “Piano Man” singer’s mansion on Centre Island in Oyster Bay, Newsday reported. Joel and Brinkley’s daughter, Alexa Ray, 29, and actor Kevin James, 50, were also there, the publication reported.

“I’m probably going to be able to spend more time with this kid than most people are able to spend with their children, because I don’t have a regular job,” Joel, who grew up on Long Island, recently told Newsday. “I could be a stay-at-home dad for as long as I can stay alive.”

Joel previously tied the knot with Elizabeth Weber in 1973, before they split in 1982. He was married to Brinkley from 1985 to 1994 and to celeb chef Katie Lee from 2004 to 2009.
His friend, Cuomo, whom he has backed with concerts at fundraisers, received the go-ahead to preside over weddings from the Legislature on June 25.
The governor officiated at a same-sex ceremony just before the city’s gay pride parade last month.
Representatives for Cuomo didn’t immediately respond to a request for note.
