Designer Picks: Brit Wacher Shares Her Favorite Trends For Fall 2014
Brittany Wacher is a Montreal based fashion designer. After graduating from La Salle University in Vancouver, Brittany spent some time in Asia effective as a stylist ( including Eloquence Global Creators Magazine and Thailand Run into Magazine). Brittany then went to Arnhem where she worked with Dutch designer Pauline Van Dongen. It was under Van Dongen’s tuleage that Brittany started to refine her approach to garment construction under Van Dongen’s concept of merging fashion:science.
Brittany’s current work focuses upon her perspectives in experiencing life through fantasy and surrounding realistic core conflicts of the world around her. Brittany’s pieces are based upon her concept of duality and the passage of energy through time and space. Brittany is interested in making a conceptual show of both shapely-tailored craftsmanship integrating flowing draped elements, subtle obscurities and well- made garments.
