One of the most eccentric personalities in Howard Stern’s cavalcade of the amusing and bizarre has died.

Eric Lynch, a regular caller on the standard radio show since 2002 and also known as “Eric the Actor” and “Eric the Midget,” was rushed to a Sacramento hospital Saturday with a heart ailment and later died, TMZ reported. He was 39.

Lynch’s administrator, Johnny Fratto, announced the “Wack Pack” member’s death on Twitter.

“I am so sorry and so sad to inform everyone that my friend Eric “The Actor” Lynch passed away yesterday afternoon!!!” Fratto wrote.

Lynch, whose height was listed as 3-foot-5 and used a motorized wheelchair, called into the Stern show just last week to announce that his parents were going to be his caretakers going forward, US Weekly reported. Lynch was known to yell at Stern during his radio appearances, TMZ said.

Lynch also made cameos on the TV shows “Fringe,” “American Dreams,” “Legit” and “In Plain Sight.”

The satellite radio company Sirius XM, which broadcasts Howard Stern on two channels, existing a Lynch tribute on Twitter: “Rest in peace, Eric the Actor. We like you.”
