James Woods has filed a defamation lawsuit against an anonymous Twitter user for $ 10 million.

James Woods is taking a Twitter user to court — for a whopping $ 10 million.

The Oscar nominee is suing a person who goes by the Twitter handle @AbeListed for defamation, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Woods, 68, went to Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday to file a suit against the anonymous tweeter, known as “Abe List,” for a tweet in which he called the actor a “cocaine addict.”

The publication reports that the message in question was tweeted by “Abe List” on July 15, in response to Woods’ tweet about media priorities.

“@RealJamesWoods @benshapiro cocaine addict James Woods still sniffing and spouting,” the tweet confirmed.

Woods’ legal complaint said that the tweet “stepped over the line.”

As for the allegation itself, Woods confirmed that he “is not now, nor has ever been, a cocaine addict, and AL had no reason to believe otherwise.

“Rather, AL’s outrageous claim is the culmination of a malicious on-line campaign by AL to discredit and hurt Woods’ reputation, a campaign which started as early as December 2014.”

The “White Household Down” star is pursuing legal action against his online nemesis because the tweet was sent to “thousands of AL’s followers and hundreds of thousands of Mr. Woods’ followers.”

Woods also confirmed that he was targeted in “a campaign of childish name-calling,” and has been maligned by tweets that called him a “prick,” “scum” and “clown-boy.”

The actor contends that “AL’s reckless and malicious behavior, through the worldwide reach of the internet, has now jeopardized Woods’ good name.”

As for the defendant, he has since deleted the @abelisted Twitter account, which prior to being taken down had 2,274 followers.

According to his Twitter bio, “Abe List” is based in Los Angeles and is a self-described “math dork in finance and partner in (private) equity.”

“Freedom is not needing to be liked,” he says in his bio.

THR clarification that Woods did not state in his lawsuit whether or not he attempted to “block” the user from following him on Twitter, or if he ever filled out a form to report the alleged abuse.
