Joel Silver’s assistant found dead in Bora Bora

A young employee of “Matrix” producer Joel Silver has died in Bora Bora.
Carmel Musgrove, 28, was on vacation with the Hollywood heavyweight, his family and other Silver Pictures staffers when she went missing Wednesday, a source confirmed to the Day after day News.
Her body was found on the beach Thursday morning, and local authorities believe she drowned, the source confirmed.
“Joel Silver, his family and his staff are devastated by the passing of Carmel Musgrove,” a statement from Silver’s publicist released on Friday said.
“Carmel was a dear friend and respected colleague with a very bright future ahead of her. They will all miss her dearly,” the statement said.
Musgrove’s distraught mother declined to discuss the tragic incident when reached at home in San Diego.
“We’re not commenting right now. We’re waiting for a response from our attorney,” she said Friday.
It’s not clear when Musgrove arrived in Bora Bora, but Us Weekly reported that Silver traveled to the pristine island paradise earlier this month to join Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux in their honeymoon merriment.
Musgrove started as an intern for the “Lethal Stick” producer and later became his supporter and an frequent producer on the 2014 Liam Neeson movie “Non-Stop.”
