What happens if an old Katy Perry interview is published as a current report? The pop star will call you out on it.

“It’s really inappropriate when journalists repurpose interviews done 3 yrs ago in context of promoting a film & then stamp a new date on it,” she tweeted Monday, referring to a Day after day Telegraph feature that was published Saturday.

The “Roar” singer even tweeted the publications name and the writer, “Chris Knowles” with a thumbs down photo alongside it.

The report Perry referred to makes mention of her 2012 documentary “Part of Me,” which is when she indicated the interview really took place.

It also included details about her Christian upbringing, the importance of her fans, and the heartbreak she dealt with after her divorce from Russell Brand.

“(He) hasn’t spoken to me since he texted me saying he was filing for divorce. I don’t want to talk about him — my songs will say what I need to say,” she said.

The report also mentioned her on-and-off again like affair with John Mayer and how despite her failed relationships in the past, she still believes in like.

“I don’t want to end up bittersweet,” she said. “I have to evolve, I have to continue to push people’s perceptions of me. As an artist I like to do that, keep people on the edge of their seats.”
