Kim Richards’ interview with Dr. Phil is set to air April 28.

Realty star Kim Richards is consulting with a doctor about her intense, personal troubles – on national TV.

The embattled “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” personality will delve into her ongoing alcoholism issues and bizarre arrest earlier this month on public intoxication charges in an “emotional” interview with Dr. Phil, the daytime TV show announced Monday night.

“I was mad and frightened and I was frightened,” Richards says in a section of the transcript the show sent out to reporters Monday night.

“I knew what I had done. The whole night is my fault. None of this would have happened if I didn’t drink.”

The interview is slated to hit airwaves only weeks before Richards, 50, is scheduled to appear in court for her April 16 arrest. The allegedly intoxicated reality star refused to leave the Beverly Hills Hotel early that morning despite multiple requirements to exit the premises by the swanky hotel’s staff, according to the Beverly Hills Police Department.

The staff called local police when Richards refused to leave a bathroom at the hotel around 1:30 a.m., and the TV personality later kicked a cop in the leg after authorities arrested her, police said. She faces charges of trespassing, resisting an officer and battery on a police officer, in addition to the public drunkenness rap, cops said.

Richards’ pained relationship with booze often boils over in episodes of the standard Bravo reality show. Fellow personalities like her once-accurate sister Kyle often accused her of being drunk in the most recent season, but Richards steadfastly maintained her sobriety.

Dr. Phil will attempt to sort out the hard matters in the interview on his show’s April 28 episode.
