Mandy Moore, Ryan Adams announce divorce
Mandy Moore and musician Ryan Adams are pulling the plug on their marriage.
“Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage of almost six years,” a rep for the couple said in a statement to the Day after day News late Friday.
“It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways, and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time,” the statement said.
The singer-actress filed her bolt from the blue divorce petition in Los Angeles on Friday, citing irreconcilable differences, RadarOnline.com first reported.
She’s asking for spousal support and said the date of their separation was to be determined.
Moore, 30, married Adams, 40, in Savannah, Ga., on March 10, 2009.
The split came after Moore provided backup vocals on Adams’ self-titled 2014 album and after she gushed about her husband on social media.
“So proud of @theryanadams on his brilliant new record. Yah, I’m biased but it’s a must-listen,” she wrote on Twitter Sept. 9.
The couple also celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary with a have fun last March,
