It was a mad, mad sight!
The original Mad Max was all smiles as he surprised the new cast at the “MadMax: Fury Road” premiere in Los Angeles Thursday night.
Mel Gibson, star of the 1979 classic “Mad Max,” joined Tom Hardy, 37, who reprised the action anti-hero role for the new Warner Bros. film, due out May 15.
“From one Max to the next. Mel Gibson makes a bolt from the blue appearance at the #MadMax premiere!” @MadMaxMovie tweeted.
The dystopian tap made Gibson, now 59, a star.
The 70-year-ancient George Miller, who directed the original and latest installment of the “Mad Max” franchise, wore a bomber jacket as he posed on the black carpet – yes, black – with both Gibson and Hardy at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
