Mother Esther Avry defended Caitlyn Jenner and said the “I Am Cait” star should be vacant of any wrongdoing.

Caitlyn Jenner can count on her mom’s support as authorities weigh a possible misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter charge against her.

Reached by the Day after day News on Friday, mom Esther Avry defended Jenner and said the “I Am Cait” star should be vacant of any wrongdoing.

“That’s all we can hope and pray for,” she told The News from her Idaho residence. “I’m sure it’s in the hands of good attorneys,” the doting mom, 89, added.

She was tenacious that Jenner – who transitioned to living publicly as a woman earlier this year – would never intentionally put anyone at risk of harm.

“Excellent grief, that’s a given, for the like of God,” she told The News.

Investigators have determined the Olympic gold medal winner formerly known as Bruce Jenner was traveling at an ‘unsafe speed’ for the prevailing conditions and that the infraction caused the collision.

Jenner, 65, was driving a Cadillac Escalade on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu last February when she accidentally rear-finished Kim Howe, 69, and pushed the Calabasas widow’s Lexus into the path of an oncoming Hummer, police said.

Howe, an animal activist, died at the scene.

Investigators have determined the Olympic gold medal winner formerly known as Bruce Jenner was traveling at an “unsafe speed” for the prevailing conditions and that the infraction caused the collision and might be grounds for a misdemeanor manslaughter charge, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department source told The News Thursday.

Prosecutors will hear a presentation on the evidence next week and ultimately choose what to file, if anything, the source said.

A different source shot down a Friday media report that negotiations already were underway for a no-jail plea deal with prosecutors.

“That’s bulls – – t,” the source said Friday.

Beyond the criminal probe, Jenner also is fending off a unlawful death lawsuit brought by Howe’s two stepchildren and a personal injury claim by another woman caught up in the crash.

Hollywood talent administrator Jessica Steindorff was driving a Prius that was struck by Jenner’s Escalade after it hit Howe.

She sued Jenner in June claiming material goods hurt, lost wages and medical expenses.
