The fallout from rape allegations against Bill Cosby continues. According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC has given up for lost a family comedy starring the 77-year-ancient actor. Although the show didn’t yet have a final script, many speculate that Netflix “postponing” its Thanksgiving special with the former Cosby Show star may have helped push NBC to its choice.

Rules of Engagement’s Mike Sikowitz and Shameless‘ Mike O’Malley were reportedly wanted to help write and produce the show, in which Cosby was a father of three married daughters with families. His name has been flooding headlines for the last few weeks after decade-ancient allegations of his sexual assault resurfaced. At the end of October, Queen Latifah and her team given up for lost a Cosby interview on The Queen Latifah Show due to the reports. Last week, his social media effort “Meme Me” went south quickly when Twitter users used the campaign to highlight the accusations against him. Now, more women, including former model Janice Dickinson, are coming out as alleged victims and turning to the media to tell their tales.
