Getty Images Seth Rogen (r.) and his producing partner reportedly left behind the smell of marijuana in their old offices, which are being taken over by outgoing Sony Pictures co-chair Amy Pascal (l.)
Well after the uproar over “The Interview,” Seth Rogen is still apparently vexing outgoing Sony Pictures co-chief Amy Pascal.
The Hollywood’s exec plot to go into Rogen and producing partner Evan Goldberg’s old on-the-lot offices has been put on hold because of the stench of stale marijuana in the suite, sources told the Hollywood Reporter.
Pascal will delay the go in anticipation of a new coat of paint is applied to get rid of the smell, which was strong enough to seep into the floor, according to the report.
Another source, but, downplayed the joint use that stunk up the joint, saying that Pascal’s paint job was simply to make the space’s aesthetic more than suited to her tastes.
David Livingston/Getty Images Producing partners Evan Goldberg (L) and Seth Rogen are original off their controversial comedy, ‘The Interview,’ the movie that may have sparked the cyberattack on Sony attributed to North Korea.
Rogen, of course, has been quite vocal in his affection for pot smoking. He took splendid pride in really making the cross-joint that shared screen time with him in the 2008 stoner comedy, “Pineapple Prompt,” telling The Day after day News at the time that “it takes some do.”
That Pascal is moving into Rogen’s offices on the studio’s Culver City lot in the first place is an ironic plot twist.
The Hollywood heavyweight had been nudged out of the high-profile post she held for a decade in the aftermath of a foremost cyber-attack that severely hurt Sony.
Dale Robinette Rogen (pictured with James Franco in the 2008 comedy, ‘Pineapple Prompt’) has publicly admittted to smoking pot regularly.
Investigators are blaming North Korea for the hacking, which was apparently in retaliation for Rogen’s comedy, “The Interview.” The R-rated movie centered around the fictional assassination of the country’s real life leader, Kim Jong Un.
Pascal’s transition to producer with a four year deal with the studio is essentially being viewed by the industry as a firing. But she already has landed her first high-profile producing gig — the next “Spider-Man” film, set for a 2017 release.
A rep for Sony has yet to answer to a request for note.
