LuAnn de Lesseps, Heather Thomson, Kristen Taekman, Aviva Drescher and Ramona Singer.

Sources tell Confidenti@l that the filming of “The Real Housewives of New York” is “so dull” this season that Bravo honchos are worried the ratings could be worse than before.

“They brought in Bethenny (Frankel) to save the franchise, but she’s so careful about protecting her brand. She won’t be confrontational on camera like the first time around,” spills a show insider.

“All the ladies have brands or want brands or want to be spokespeople for something, so they won’t do anything to make themselves look terrible on camera. That makes the show dull. Who’s going to watch that?”

Our source adds that one Housewife, Kristen Taekman, recently had a “situation” she wanted to confront Frankel about, but the Skinnygirl creator flat-out refused, saying she wasn’t going to do “drama” this season that could potentially harm her business or fan base.

“Kristen legitimately had things she wanted to say to Bethenny, but Bethenny won’t engage,” says our source. “The end result is there’s no drama, so there’s no excitement. You can’t have Ramona [Singer] running around making crazy eyes to no one who will play. It’s a snoozefest.”

We also hear that former “Housewife” Jill Zarin had been in discussion to appear on the latest season of the reality show, but that Bravo honcho Andy Cohen refused to deliberate it.

“Jill had said she would come back on to confront Bethenny after their notorious fight, when ratings were at a high, and producers wanted to make it take place, all for ratings,” says our source. “The problem is Andy (Cohen, the show’s creator) doesn’t like Jill so he won’t let her back in any way, even if she were to be a part time ‘Housewife.’ ”

Our source says that the ratings had gotten so terrible, Zarin and Frankel were told that they’ll “look like heroes” if they both appear again to hash out their problems.

Another source accurate to the production acknowledged there may have been “very (few) confrontational moments,” but added, “that is not a terrible thing.” The source also argued that “there is a lot of drama and very amusing moments, so far.” As for Zarin’s restore, that source said, “It was about the fans not wanting Jill back.”

Meanwhile, Zarin is still effective with Bravo. Her daughter Ally, 22, is set to appear on an episode of “Millionaire Matchmaker,” as the youngest person ever to look for like on the show.

“She has a lot of fun and goes on a date,” says another Bravo insider. “She had the best time; she met three cute guys, and really liked one.” Ally’s episode of “Matchmaker” airs Jan. 1 at 9 p.m.

A rep for Bravo declined to note.
