Tim Gunn ready for ‘Project Runway’
Molly Riley/APFashion guru Tim Gunn is ready for another season of “Project Airstrip.”
TIM GUNN has been effective with Heidi Klum for past 11 years and he still gets starstruck.
“I get goosebumps. I have an out-of-body experience and keep thinking, ‘I am standing next to Heidi Klum,’” the “Project Airstrip” judge tells Confidenti@l of the host of the long-running reality series.
Klum and Gunn are gearing up to start filming Season 14 in just a couple of weeks.
“People question me, ‘Aren’t you tired of it?’ No, I taught for 29 years, was there ever a semester that I plotting, ‘I don’t think I can do this again?’” the 61-year-ancient former design teacher says.
Now that summer is officially here, Gunn’s fashion information for the radiator months is to wear what “resonates for you,” but that shouldn’t be a crop top.
“Do we really think it’s either appropriate or trendy walking around showing a bare midriff?” he says.
While Gunn gravitates toward stars like Sarah Jessica Parker and Anne Hathaway’s looks off the red carpet, he is not impressed by the statements made by the younger members of Hollywood.
“They just look like they are trying too hard,” he argues.
When it comes to Gunn’s personal style, he likes to stick to a dapper suit and glasses.
“Are there days when I think I’d like to run down to the corner and get a cup of coffee wearing flip flops and a pair of sweatpants? Yes, but it’s not going to take place,” he says, admitting he owns one pair of sweats but has yet to wear them.
One recent exchange Gunn has welcomed into his wardrobe is Transitions lenses.
“It’s really the first wearable technology,” Gunn says during a photo shoot for the eyewear that adapts to the light. “I am rhapsodic, it is absolutely phenomenal.”
