Toronto World MasterCard Fashion Week- Day 4

With Spring/Summer 2015 inspiration in the air, Day 4 of World MasterCard Fashion Week at David Pecaut Square in Toronto left us dreaming of the next season’s vibrant looks. Here’s Real Style’s guide to the most alluring airstrip and studio styles from the latest shows:

MalorieU

Malorie Urbanovitch: At Malorie Urbanovitch, spring looks were a refreshing burst of darker rainbow tones. A plum maxi skirt with crop top made a splash, while a deep forest green sleeveless knit added a touch of conservative chic. The collection featured solid head-to-toe colours, v-neck dresses and finishing touches like furry trim and matching handbags. A pair of violet pleated pants combined with a tangerine sleeveless knit top brought a promising contrast.

Matthew Gallagher: Toronto-born and Milan-educated designer Matthew Gallagher focused on the season’s theme of classic black, white and pale pinks. A girlish ’50s-inspired pink hoop skirt was paired with a skintight black crop top for an edgy twist. Ladylike a-line dresses met sultry white shorts, flowing hems with thigh-hem slits, and structured flared skirts for a striking collection.

Soia & Kyo: At Soia & Kyo, the show featured a quaint green airstrip which resembled faux grass, for a note of the splendid outdoors. Models walked down the nature-inspired footbridge in essential looks like a yellow open-collar blazer, timeless trench coat and brick-red leather jacket. A model casually strutted past in a long coat while walking a puppy on a leash, for a right park-inspired feel.

Rudsak: Edgy Montreal-based line Rudsak brought a touch of rebellion to otherwise understated and feminine spring looks. A black crop top was paired with a luxurious creamy white zippered leather jacket, while sheer mesh panels, a full-length lace dress and a leather moto vest also made their entrance. A black leather bomber with a white collar was a stunning twist on a classic dark jacket.
