Fall catwalks were hot for fringe, proving the look is not only for the Wild West and hippie festivals. Prabal Gurung ICB and Proenza Schouler both showcased the trend in their collections, adding fringe details on dresses and tops. A foremost trend this fall, the new fringe appears in new colours and variations–black and white, and incorporated into slits and tops, as well as appearing on hemlines, bags, jackets, ankle straps and even footwear and jewelry. No longer the tan leather of cowboys past, the new fringe comes in many different styles, materials and lengths. In fact, the options are endless, which – good news – also means it can now be incorporated into any look.

The simplest way to sport the trend is to toss on a fringed fall jacket or start even smaller by adding a fringe necklace to your look.
