Want to save the environment? Try taking a whiz in the shower
Would you whiz in the shower to save the environment?
Two environmentally conscious students at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, England, think you should. They are encouraging their classmates — and everyone else, for that matter — to relax and let it flow while you’re busy scrubbing every other part of your body, in order to save water.
“With 15,000 students at University of East Anglia, over a year we would save enough water to fill an Olympic-sized swimming pool 26 times over,” one of the bladder-pleased environmentalists said.
KLG: Reckon about how much water is used each time one flushes. In Europe — and in some toilets I’ve seen around here — I like how they have a little flush button and a big flush button so you can save water. Most of the toilets in the U.S. don’t have the function. We don’t discriminate. All flushes are equal.

HK: Where does the water from the shower end up eventually? I would like to know. Where’s it vacant? The same place toilet water goes?
KLG: It’s not ending up in your drinking water, Hoda!
HK: Look, I do think sometimes inadvertently — I possibly let some go when I’m in the shower and the water is so warm. There are times that you don’t know you had to go in anticipation of you got in. Has that ever happened? Yes. Seriously, what are you going to do when you realize this? Dry off, get out and go and get back in? Nope. Who’s got that kind of time?
KLG: It’s like a heated pool. What are you going to do?
HK: Like a Jacuzzi in your household.

NICE GAL FINISHES FIRST
Go Penelope Cruz!
The gorgeous and talented actress is the sexiest woman alive, according to the latest issue of Esquire.
HK: YES!
KLG: She looks unbelievably gorgeous in those pictures. Two children. Forty years ancient. God like her. She also seems to be a decent human being. She keeps to herself and her family. Never showoff-y.
HK: She really keeps under the radar. I didn’t even realize she had two kids in anticipation of I read about it. It’s not like she’s one of those people who’s always out there. She’s finally a bigwig who you lean into. You see an interview or a photo, and you genuinely want to know more because she’s not constantly putting herself in your face.
KLG: The writer even questioned something about (husband) Javier (Bardem) and her, and she said, “That’s for us.” It’s refreshing.
HK: It’s so rare.
THE 2ND CASUALTY IS TASTE
He’s tweeting about honest stuff — the horrifying ISIS assault on the Syrian border town of Kobani — but Geraldo Rivera bizarrely decided to include a topless selfie in his tweet about the dire situation in the Middle East.
HK: I plotting it was weird. I just don’t know.
KLG: What does his bare chest have to do with world strife?
HK: You know what he was probably thinking? If I take a topless selfie, people will talk about the issue.
KLG: But then it takes away from any honest statement he makes. It may help people find his tweet, but then they’ll say, “Why would I listen to you?”
HK: Everyone just needs to stop with the topless selfies. Let’s just do that. OK? Please, please, we’re begging.
BEY, JAY & IVY COVER PARIS
Beyoncé, Jay Z and Blue Ivy — the closest the U.S. has to royalty — have been taking Paris by storm and Instagramming photos of their trip for everyone to see.
KLG: In person, I don’t need a day after day photo.
HK: They don’t show that many of Blue Ivy. That’s why I think when you see one, it’s sort of unexpected.
KLG: She’s a gorgeous little girl.
A SUCKER FOR TRAVEL
A woman on vacation in Vietnam recently learned she had picked up a sticky little traveling companion who sucked. A tiny bloodsucker somehow got into her nose and started to grow. For a month. Eww!
KLG: Obviously she doesn’t pick her nose very often, does she?
HK: No, no, no, no! Ugh!
KLG: I like stuff like that.
HK: How big is her nose? I don’t want to be rude, but is it cavernous? You want to know if it was sizeable and you might miss it.
NAMING RIGHTS
Now Amal Alamuddin gets to share a bed and a last name with George Clooney. She traded her maiden name for Clooney this week.
KLG: I think it’s a personal choice. I changed mine when I married truthful. It meant something to him.
HK: I’m always about maintaining your identity. But, I’m like, “Yes! Do it!”
