Wonder Woman is finally getting her due! Warner Bros. Pictures announced on Wednesday that a solo Wonder Woman movie would be coming into theaters in 2017, with Gal Gadot in the title role. Gal will make her first appearance as Wonder Woman in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, in 2016.

This will be the first female led superhero movie in almost a decade — the last being Jennifer Garner‘s turn as the titular character in 2005&fill in;s Electra. Israeli actress Gadot has been seen in films like Quick & Furious 6 and is rumored to be vying for the lead in the new Ben Hur film. But her debut as Wonder Woman will likely be the thing that pushes her into super stardom alongside Ben Affleck’s Batman and Henry Cavill’s Superman. Yas, girl!
