Given Seth MacFarlane’s enduring success with Family Guy and its various offshoots, to say nothing of huge-screen, live-action debut Ted, you could be forgiven for expecting a few laughs from this western spoof. Alas, a few is all you get.

A miscast MacFarlane plays a sheep farmer in the old west who falls for beauty Charlize Theron. She seduces him into becoming a gunfighter and no hilarity ensues. It’s an endless spill of diarrhoea, urine and semen jokes. In cowboy hats. Lots of extras, mind, including a Blu-ray extended cut.
