Angelina Jolie comforts crying fan outside ‘Daily Show’

After falling sick, a die-hard fan named Techne received a little TLC — and a once-in-a-lifetime photo — from her idol, Angelina Jolie.
The “Maleficent” star noticed her ailing admirer as she exited “The Day after day Show” studios in New York on Thursday night and made a beeline to her, wiping her tears and offering some comforting terms.
The statuesque actress was signing autographs for scores of clamoring admirers further than the studio doors when the sobbing young woman pushed through the metal barriers and screamed to security she was having a “panic attack.”
The freaky moment immediately trapped the star’s attention, as Jolie paused beside an idling SUV and craned her neck to check on the commotion.

The 39-year-ancient “Unbroken” director took a moment to sign a few more autographs before making her way over to the slumped fan, who was clutching a magazine and a DVD with Jolie on the covers.
“Are you okay?” Jolie questioned, crouching down to wipe the fan’s tears.
She then signed Techne’s magazine and DVD and snapped two selfies with her, drawing cries of “Aw!” from some in the crowd.
Jolie then stopped to scrawl a few more quick autographs before slipping away in the chauffeured car.
Meanwhile, on the “Day after day Show” Thursday night, host Jon Stewart played an unlikely game of “what if” while recalling meeting Jolie on the set of the 1998 comedy “Playing By Heart,” which they both appeared in.
“If you’d finished up with me instead of Brad Pitt, our portmanteau, Stewart and Jolie, would have been ‘Stolie,’ ” he told the newlywed. “We could have been a vodka brand.”
