Anna Wintour Gets Daughter to Spy on ‘Ryan Raftery Is the Most Powerful Woman in Fashion’

She may be at the centre of a lot of parodies, but Anna Wintour proves that she still has some humour in her, too.

The Rage editor is, once again, being described in yet another parody performance, but this time it doesn’t star Meryl Streep. Ryan Raftery just premiered his new one-man show Monday night at Joe’s Pub.

Raftery, who plays Wintour in drag in his comedy “Ryan Raftery Is the Most Powerful Woman in Fashion”, admitted that he was a little worried that the fashion maven would find out about his skit.

And she did.

According to reports, Wintour sent her daughter, Bee Shaffer, to check out the gig, which revolved around “Wintour” worrying about a call from S.I. Newhouse over the infamous Rage Kimye cover shot. Shaffer reportedly was in hysterics the entire show and even went backstage to meet the talented performer.

“What would it be like if Anna was persuaded she was getting fired,” said Raftery to Page Six.

The comedian described the iconic editor crying, singing and battling “chronic constipation.”

“I was terrified about her finding out,” Raftery told Page Six.
