Apple’s New Watch Fails To Impress The Fashion World

Untitled-1Although Apple has attempted to win over the world that their new smart watch is the latest in chic arm candy, fashionistas are not impressed.

The company, which managed to hear a 12 page spread in the March issue of Rage, tried their best with their new tool but unfortunately, the watch was met in the fashion world with not much more than a yawn.

Fashion designers Chanel, Givenchy and Hermes do not see the Apple watch as a fashion trend. They see it as more of a gadget as opposed to this season’s “must-have” belt. Model Julia Van Os didn’t pay mind to the new gadget in a recent interview and simply said that it’s more technology rather than fashion and people don’t wear that kind of watch in fashion.

French newspapers covered the unveiling of the Apple watch in their business section of the paper as opposed to their fashion pages which are seemingly their most standard. The pages were used for winter airstrip shows and ads for luxury items such as watches by Bugari and Boucheron.

I guess it’s evident who won’t be rocking the belt on the airstrip this year!

This new timepiece will go on sale in April. It will link to the Iphone itself and will be able to show messages, alerts and calls.

Aside from its looks, there are a few features that can come in handy such the fitness tracker and the convenience of arranging a car with Uber.

The device comes in three collections: The Apple Watch Sport costs up to $ 400, the Apple Watch ranges from $ 549 to $ 1,099 and the Apple Watch Edition which starts at $ 10,000 due to the 18-karat yellow or gold.
