Although Armani is best known for its sophisticated evening gowns, the Italian fashion household showcased an edgy and colourful new collection at the Armani Privé Fall 2015 couture show in Paris. The punk inspired styles mark new territory for Armani, as a shift away from the mark’s typically classic, refined evening looks.

Designer Giorgio Armani unveiled a new couture collection with a kaleidoscope of fuchsia, purple and turquoise shades. Unlike the classic Armani red carpet gown, his latest line featured 1970s and 1980s inspired details like glittering embellishment, shaggy fringe and oversized dangling earrings. Models stepped onto the footbridge in velvet slippers- surprisingly, without a release immense wedge or pointy stiletto heel in sight!

Additional than the jewel tones, foremost looks of the Armani Privé collection included fitted jackets, peplums, Swarovski crystals, sleek black velvet trousers and sequins. From a maxi skirt with a vivid abstract print to a strapless gown trimmed with magenta and blue feathers, the Fall 2015 couture designs experiment with fierce disco colour and style.

Here’s a closer look at the key looks from the new collection.
