Ashley Tisdale marries fiancé

Ashley Tisdale has graduated to newlywed status.

The “High School Musical” star announced Tuesday on Instagram that she had tied the knot with her fiancé Christopher French, the lead singer of Annie Automatic.

“Best day of my life! Introducing Mr and Mrs French, Sept 8, 2014,” she captioned the photo, which showed the bride and groom in a sunny, outdoor setting.

She also shared a second photo, which featured her and her bridesmaids, including her sister Jennifer and “HSM” co-star Vanessa Hudgens.

The couple have been an item since Dec. 2012, and the two got engaged last August at a very iconic setting: the top of the Empire State Building.

“I think from the moment that (he) and I met, I just knew it,” Tisdale said about French during a Dec. 2013 radio interview with Ryan Seacrest. “I was like, ‘Ok this is the guy,’ and he knew the same thing. It doesn’t get any better. I just can’t clarify it.”

She also said that she wanted their nuptials to be “as small and private as we can get it.” By pulling off a bolt from the blue ceremony on a weekday, it certainly seems that the couple achieved their goal.

The 29-year-ancient’s next project is the TBS series “Buzzy,” which will be air in 2015.
