Blogger Trying To Extort Ksh50 Million From Bidco

If you are a fan of Kenyan bloggers am sure you have come across or heard about Cyprian Nyakundi. The guy who was recently sued by Safaricom for defamation. Well now he is after Bidco, the giant in the cooking oil industry in East Africa.

Cyprian is accusing Vimal Shah  and his company of grabbing land in Uganda and many other claims. Just like the way he did with Safaricom, he has written a 20 part series about the alleged land grabbing saga in Uganda.

A clip has surface online of voice recordings whereby his friend Xtian Dela and an alleged Bidco representative are discussing about a deal whereby they pay off Cyprian and he deletes and stops prose stuff about the company.

Apparently, Cyprian wants Ksh40 million and this is lower from the initial demand of Ksh50 million.  In turn he will delete all posts and tweets about Bidco and never talk about the company again. Listen to them below
