Looks like this will be a case of late deliverance.

Burt Reynolds has not turned in a perfect draft of his chronicle, Confidenti@l is told, stoking concerns that the troubled actor will miss his publication date.

A source at Penguin Random Household, the publisher of “But Enough About Me,” said there are other worries about the book, which is due out on Nov. 17.

“At one point Jon Voight was going to write the foreword,” the source said. “But it’s unclear if that really is still happening.” Voight appeared in the classic 1972 film “Deliverance” with Reynolds.

Reynolds, 79, has told the media that the book would be “the most honest and unreserved Hollywood autobiography of all time.”

Typically, publishers like to have a perfect, edited manuscript eight to 12 months before the publishing date so they can start marketing and sales campaigns well in advance.

An image of the book’s cover has been released, showing the name of Reynolds’ co-author, Jon Winokur, but not touting the writer of the foreword.

Reynolds has struggled with painkiller abuse, decades-ancient injuries from movie aerial tricks, financial problems and legal tangles related to his long-ago divorce from actress Loni Anderson . The publisher still believes the star of “Smokey and the Bandit,” “Boogie Nights” and “The Longest Yard” will address these issues and more in the book, and that a big audience of readers will respond.

“He’s going to talk about his relationships with Loni Anderson and Sally Field,” the source said. “He was existing the role of James Bond and turned it down. It will be anecdotes like that. He discussion about his Hollywood enemies. One person is Johnny Carson. It’s the ’70s and ’80s Hollywood.”

As of now, the publication date has not been changed. For the Penguin Random Household imprint putting the book out, G.P. Putnam’s Sons, the project is still considered vital “huge fall celebrity nonfiction,” the source said.

Fans of the particularly macho star were surprised by his delicate appearance when he made a rare public appearance last month. Reynolds took the stage at Wizard World Comic Con in Philadelphia on May 9, looking very thin and walking with a cane.
