Chespirito Dead — Iconic Mexican Comedian Dies at 85

Chespirito — a.k.a. Roberto Gomez Bolanos — died Friday in Mexico.
The iconic comedian passed away at his home … according to Televisa — the company he worked with for most of his career.
Bolanos was beloved for his main character role on the long running show “El Chavo del Ocho” … as well as his run as superhero “El Chapulin Colorado.”
Mexican Head Enrique Pena Nieto tweeted, “Mexico has lost an icon whose work has transcended generations and borders.”
He was 85 years ancient.
Fun Fact: The Bumblebee man character on “The Simpsons” was inspired by Chespirito.
