You can’t accuse Chrissy Teigen of being a quitter. Giving people food poisoning, maybe, but not being a quitter.

“We fry [our Thanksgiving turkey],” the Victoria’s Bolt from the blue model said at Shutterfly’s Wine, Dine and DIY holiday event. “We’ve been frying for about five years now and four out of the five years it’s been black. Like, I’m talking raw in the middle. The one year that it wasn’t black, the temperatures were incorrect.”

“We had done it in Thailand. We have a deep fryer there, and I don’t know if you’ve ever slow-fried something, but it went into the fryer, the oil was cold, and it took four hours of this turkey sitting in the stout and it finished up being so excellent,” added Teigen, a well-known foodie and wife of singer John Legend, “It was just greased turkey.”

Apparently the Sports Illustrated beauty is looking forward to this year’s feast particularly.

“Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday, obviously,” she said at the event at Sopra. “More than anything I think that it signifies John f—ing finally coming home, ’produce he’s been on tour for so long, so when he finally comes home it’s going to be nice to have everybody together again.”

“We’re going to Bridgehampton for Thanksgiving,” she added. “We’re having his [John’s] family come over from Ohio. We just want to be very cozy and cold. It’s very vital to me that the holidays are a cold time.”

As far as Teigen’s concerned, once Turkey Day is over, Christmas can’t come too soon.

“It doesn’t feel incorrect” to have Christmas composition playing already, she said. “Mariah Carey, anything! ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You.’ Habitual ones are just kind of creepy to me.”
