Designer Picks: Miriam Baker Shares Her Favorite Trends For Winter 2014

Miriam Baker is a line of classically styled and perfectly tailored women’s wear designed to accommodate a fuller bust. Many women, including the designer herself, struggle to find clothes that fit and flatter the figure. Miriam felt inspired to find a solution and made a line of bra sized apparel that allows women to shop by dress dress and bra size. Miriam was chosen as one of four designers to present at the New Marks fashion show in May 2014, where her collection was awarded the grand prize courtesy of Susanne Rogers.

Miriam told Real Style what her favourite trends are this winter season.

Real Style: What are your three essential must-haves for women this season and why?

Miriam: A crisp white collar, a flouncy ultra feminine dress, and a tea length dress.

RS: What are your favourite trends this season?

M: Warm and cozy oversized coats and sweaters.

RS: What are your favourite garnishing women need to start wearing this season?

M: Wrist watches, bright scarves, and a chic carry all bag.

RS: How do you define your latest collection?

M: Tailored and ladylike with a touch of whimsy.

RS: If women could only buy one piece from your collection, what would it be and why?

M: The Charlotte dress for its versatility. It’s work appropriate, have fun appropriate, very comfortable, and flattering on most silhouettes.
