Eminem makes surprise appearance to honor Dr. Dre
Eminem surprised Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine when he appeared at an event to honor his mentors — but many fans were also surprised by his corporal appearance.
The rapper looked noticeably gaunt while at the WSJ Innovator of the Year Awards in New York City on Wednesday.
Clad in a black beanie and leather jacket, the “Lose Yourself” rapper secretly flew from Detroit to New York in order to attend the event honoring the composition pioneers.

While the 42-year-ancient rapper noticeably looked thinner than in his “Slim Shady’” heyday, he seemed to be in good spirits.
“When Jimmy and Dre put their minds to something, get on board or get the f— out of the way,” he said during his speech.
“Dre and Jimmy are like a force of nature,” he added. “As an example of how powerful they are, they had me glide here all the way from Detroit to speak publicly, and I really despise public speaking.”
Eminem wrapped up a stadium tour with Rihanna earlier this summer, and will release a two-disc album “Shady XV,” a two-disc compilation album celebrating Shady Record’s 15th anniversary, on Nov. 24.
As part of the promotional merriment for the album, on Thursday he launched the “Shady XV Quinceañera” video series.
