Lee Daniels, creator of ‘Empire,’ was furious when his show only took just one foremost Emmy nod for Taraji P. Henson, and two for costumes. Here he’s shown with Jussie Smollett who plays one of the sons on the show.

Lee Daniels, creator of “Empire,” who went on an F-bomb-laced tirade when his show didn’t hear as much Emmy like as expected, now says he was only kidding.

The mega-hit for Fox took three Emmy nods, most notably for Taraji P. Henson’s fierce turn as Cookie. The others are for costumes.

Expecting the show, and at least its male lead, Terrence Howard, to garner nominations, Daniels went on a rampage on Instagram.

“F— these motherf—ers!” he railed in the video.

But a day later, Daniels backpedals in another clip.

“Some of these people got nothing else better to do than despise on me for having fun,” he says. “I was having fun. I like the Emmys, and I’m excited for my cast and crew that got nominated and for the other people that got nominated for Emmys. So haters, shut up and go to bed.”

While his first video to Instagram included the hashtags #canfinallypost this,#timetoberealagain and the most revealing, #emmyniceguyoverwith, his later one offers more concilatory hashtags.

His new videos is referenced with hashtags #emmypower and #congratstoall.

Could make everyone wonder if Henson went a little bit Cookie on Daniels.
