Fashion Imitates Art: What To Wear To A Gallery Opening

Jessica Alba white top black pants

Take it from Jessica Alba, when it comes to making an outfit for a gallery opening, it’s a good thought to keep it tasteful, stylish and if you’re feeling courageous, wear a piece that would make a splendid conversation starter. After all, a gallery is the perfect spot to flaunt your unique style but not upstage the art.

We are loving  her classic white blouse and fitted black pants paired with black pumps and pretty clutch. If you usually go for a more minimal look,  you can also swing all the way around and try for a bold fashion style by donning a bold bohemian skirt and chunky statement necklace.

Also, galleries contain pieces that are quite unusual and unexpected. Give that sort of appeal to your wardrobe by pairing pieces you usually wouldn’t rock together. Try pairing a knee length, flared skirt with a military style jacket. End the look with chunky heeled ankle boots and a bronze statement necklace. It’s the perfect combination of edge with a feminine touch.

You can never go incorrect with your “Small Black Dress.” Add unique and staple pieces that are unusual to play up a plain little black or little red dress. Pair those with a with a shimmery belt, matching clutch and killer heels, preferably with a pop of colour!

Pair a plain navy sleeveless shirt with bold, multi-patterned pleated skirt. Try to find a skirt with navy specks to bring out the shirt. End the look with gold, chunky garnishing and ballet flats.

Keep it chic by wearing a pair of simple, black trousers, a relaxed white blouse and add pops of colour by using a bright clutch, such as yellow or magenta and matching it with a pair of stilettos.
