Garbage singer Shirley Manson has slammed Kanye West for the tantrum he threw over Beck’s big Grammy win, calling the rapper “small and petty and spoilt.”
The Scottish singer blasted the “Only One” singer in a lengthy-post on Facebook Monday, saying he was “making yourself look like a perfect t–t.”
“It is YOU who is so busy disrespecting invention,” Manson fumed. “You disrespect your own remarkable talents and more importantly you disrespect the talent, hard work and tenacity of all artists when you go so rudely and savagely after such an accomplished and humble artist like BECK.
FARBER: WEST MISTAKENLY REVERES HIS OWN JUDGEMENT
“You make yourself look small and petty and spoilt,” she added. “In attempting to lower the importance of one splendid talent over another, you make a mockery of all musicians and composition from every genre, including your own.”
“Grow up and stop throwing your toys around,” the “Stupid Girl” singer said.
Manson then closed the missive by assuring West that “Beyoncé doesn’t need you fighting any battles on her account.”
West crudely inserted himself into the awards show Sunday by storming the stage just as Beck was accepting his award for album of the year.
He later went on a tirade against the singer, saying Beyoncé was more deserving of the award.
“The Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us. We aren’t going to play with them no more,” the 37-year-ancient “Yeezus” creator ranted in an E! interview after the show.
Manson, who as a member of Garbage was nominated for seven Grammys in the late ’90s, wasn’t the only big name musician to take aim at West’s brutishness.
In a Twitter post Monday, KISS guitarist Paul Stanley wrote that Beck “should’ve kicked #Kanye right in the nuts last night and said Get the f— off MY stage!”
West also took a beating on social media, where one viewer too him to task for his “childish outbursts.”
“Beck’s not a real artist? That’s pathetic,” one fan tweeted.
Beck, but, was more gracious about the matter, calling West “a genius” and saying he plotting Beyoncé would win the category.
