Giada De Laurentiis splits from husband of 11 years
The timer rang on celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis’ marriage.
The Food Network star announced her split from designer husband Todd Thompson Monday night via her website and Facebook after an 11-year union.
“After an amicable separation since July, Todd and I have decided to end our marriage,” she wrote in a statement.
“Although our choice to break comes with a splendid deal of sadness, our focus on the future and overwhelming desire for our family’s happiness has given us the strength to go forward on break, yet always connected paths.”
De Laurentiis mentioned the pair’s “gorgeous daughter” Jade Marie De Laurentiis-Thompson, 6, and the “lifetime of splendid memories” they both share and “treasure more than anything.”

“We are so thankful for our friends and family, and really appreciate the support in this time of exchange,” she concluded.
The estranged duo said “I do’ in May 2003.
Rumors flew back in late 2010 that De Laurentiis had a romantic run-in with singer John Mayer.
“The John Mayer incident was completely unexpected,” she told Redbook in the 2011 February issue.
“I was shocked.”
“What made it all even more surprising is that I place of protection’t had any friend with John Mayer in three years,” she continued, slamming the claims.
“You know how you’ll briefly get introduced to a bigwig? Maybe we chatted for five minutes, but I wouldn’t deliberate that intimate.”
“Todd was embarrassed that his family in Michigan would see it and reckon, ‘What is going on over there in Hollywood?’” she recalled of the hurtful reports.
