Goldfinger

With its glossy gold exterior and gatefold drawings of the Aston Martin DB5, this Steelbook edition of Bond’s third huge-screen outing will be a welcome addition to any 007 aficionado’s collection. Considering as the disc itself is the same one from the 50th anniversary Blu-ray boxset, though, said aficionado probably owns it already.

The film itself, of course, repays countless viewings: it’s both the benchmark for the whole franchise and the point at which Sean Connery was at his most relaxed and engaged. Pick of the extras is probably the screen tests of would-be Goldfingers Theodore Bikel and Titos Vandis.
