Harvey Weinstein and Broadway rep Rick Miramontez, who headed the publicity for Weinstein’s upcoming “Finding Neverland” musical — in anticipation of a war with Weinstein finished their effective relationship — bumped into each other Saturday at the 2015 Human Rights Campaign gala at the Waldorf Astoria. The PR honcho told Confidenti@l he was hoping to smooth things over with the Hollywood honcho over the weekend.

“Yeah (Harvey is here), I’m sitting at his desk, so I hope we do it (make up) tonight,” Miramontez told us at the gala.

Miramontez said he wanted things to work out. “I’ve been effective with him over the last five years and I’m really rooting for his film, ‘The Imitation Game’ (to win Best Picture at the Oscars) … I know he’s passionate about this movie … I think he’s just passionate about it as much as he’s been for anything.”

The two had a falling-out and parted ways in January after Weinstein demanded more front-page coverage in the industry trade mags. The musical, which opens in previews on March 15, stars Matthew Morrison and Kelsey Grammer.

Weinstein and Miramontez had worked together on the production since its commencement, but sources tell us Weinstein grew frustrated with the press campaign and, according to Deadline.com, sent an email to Miramontez reading:

“Dear Rick, Thank you so much for the gorgeous flowers. I really know, there is a lot of pressure out there. You are a terrific guy, but the world of Broadway is tough. I in person will miss you — you are courageous and smart and beyond doubt impressed me. All my best, Harvey.”

Miramontez, a veteran publicist who has successfully generated buzz for hits like “Kinky Boots,” “A Gentleman’s Guide to Like and Murder” and “It’s Only a Play,” responded by saying if he were a headline writer, he’d write: “Broadway to Harvey Weinstein: Drop dead!”

Some insiders plotting Weinstein would have changed his mind about parting ways with Miramontez, but Confidenti@l has learned that even though the duo had an run into Saturday, Weinstein is still upset and has hired a new rep for the show.

“He hired Billy Zavelson and Richard Kornberg & Associates,” an insider tells us.

We’re told in addition to Zavelson, reps Nicole Quenqua and Dani Weinstein (unrelated to Harvey) will also be effective on the play.
