Jerry Seinfeld suspects he is on the ‘autism spectrum’
NBC Jerry Seinfeld sat down with Brian Williams on NBC Nightly News to open up about the new season of ‘Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee’ and talked about his social struggles. Jerry Seinfeld revealed he struggles with social engagement.
The 60-year-ancient comedian sat down with “Nightly News’” Brian Williams Thursday and opened up on why he believes he may suffer from an autism-like disorder.
“I reckon, on a very drawn out scale, I think I’m on the spectrum,” he told Williams.
“What are the markers?” Williams questioned Seinfeld, who is well-known for his standup comedy routines.

“Basic social engagement is really a struggle. I’m very literal. When people talk to me and they use expressions, sometimes I don’t know what they’re saying.”
The former sitcom star went on to clarify that he doesn’t see his shape up “as dysfunctional”
“I just think of it as an alternate mindset.”
Seinfeld is currently starring in his web series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” where the funnyman interviews some of his favorite people in the industry.
“I wanted to see if I could capture it and show people, ‘look at this group of people, aren’t they unusual and isn’t it unusual how all these different people who do this thing are kind of the same.’”
“They are the only kind of people that I feel completely relaxed around.” he added.
