Jessa Duggar, husband Ben Seewald welcome first child

It’s one kid and counting for Jessa Duggar!

The former “19 Kids and Counting” star and her husband Ben Seewald welcomed a baby boy on Thursday, according to People.

Jessa, 22, and Ben, 20, welcomed their first child just days after they celebrated their first wedding anniversary on Sunday.

The couple have not yet revealed their son’s name, but have shared that he weighs in at a healthy 9 lbs, 11 oz.

In fact, prior to giving birth, Jessa told fans on Instagram that the Duggar and Seewald families were trying to guess the baby’s weight.

The reality star predicted that she would have a “rotund little baby” because she “was the largest out of all my siblings” at 9 lbs., 15 oz.

When the couple revealed they were expecting in April, they said they were “beyond doubt excited” about parenthood.

“We pray every night that God helps us be good parents,” Ben said. “We are getting information from other parents.”

One set of parents they’ll be seeking information from is Jessa’s older sister Jill Dillard and her husband Derick, who welcomed their son Israel in April.

Fans can see more of Jill and Jessa on “Counting On,” a series of TLC specials airing in December that will focus on the Duggar daughters’ lives as they start their own families.

The series will also show the pair deal with the aftermath of their brother Josh’s molestation scandal, which led to the cancellation of their family’s series “19 Kids and Counting.”
