Johnny Depp feeds baby bat while dressed as Jack Sparrow

Johnny Depp has made a new pal while filming “Pirates of the Caribbean 5” in Australia.
The movie star – dressed as his iconic character Jack Sparrow – paid a visit to The Australian Bat Clinic & Wildlife Trauma Focal point to visit an orphaned baby bat.
A video posted to the clinic’s Facebook page shows Depp pot feeding the tiny creature.
The Oscar nominee is sponsoring the young bat, appropriately named Jackie Sparrow.
“Here is a video of Dad pot feeding his little orphaned baby,” states the heading accompanying the video.
“It’s so fantastic to see him showing a genuine interest, and helping us raise awareness for bats!”
The clip includes Depp speaking tenderly to the orphaned 10-week-ancient bat as he feeds her.
“There’s a little bit more in there sweetie,” he says in the video.

As for why Depp chose to visit Jackie Sparrow in costume, a representative for the clinic clarified, “This was the end of a very busy day of shooting (so) he is constantly in costume.”
Depp’s visit to the clinic comes a few weeks after he dropped by an Australian hospital to visit with a group of sick children while dressed as Jack Sparrow.
