Jon Hamm, Jennifer Westfeldt break up after 18 years

The summer of celebrity breakups has claimed another casualty.
“Mad Men” star Jon Hamm and actress Jennifer Westfeldt have decided to call it quits after 18 years, People first reported.
“With splendid sadness, we have decided to break, after 18 years of like and shared history,” the former lovebirds told the magazine in a joint statement.
“We will continue to be supportive of each other in every way possible moving forward.”
Hamm started dating Westfeldt in 1997, and the pair starred together in the romantic comedy, “Friends with Kids” in 2011, which Westfeldt also wrote and directed.
But their relationship was rumored to be on thin ice for a few months leading up to Monday’s announcement.
In March, Hamm, 44, credited Westfeldt, 45, for helping him continue through a 30-day stint in rehab for alcohol abuse.
A month later, amid split rumors, the couple released a statement assuring fans they were still together.

The movie stars were last blemished together publicly in late July at an after-have fun following the premiere of Netflix’s “Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp.”
Hamm and Westfeldt become the latest bold-faced names to break up this summer, joining an (A-)list that includes Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale and Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards.
