Justin Bieber reveals why he cried after VMA performance

Justin Bieber said he was overcome with emotion when he bawled on stage.

The 21-year-ancient started crying at the MTV Video Composition Awards Sunday night after performing his new release “What Do You Mean?”

The pop star revealed his teary moment was triggered over gratitude for the support from his fans.

“It was so overwhelming,” Bieber told Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show” Wednesday night. “I missed some cues so I was a bit disappointed about that.”

Justin Bieber proved a hit with his candid admission on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

“But just the support…I didn’t expect them to support me in the way they did,” he said. “Last time I was at an awards show, I was booed.”

The Canadian singer said he was desperate for fans to appreciate his new composition and said he felt “judged” after being in the focus for all the incorrect reasons following recent controversies.

“I wanted to win so terribly and I wanted to do what I like, I just put everything on the line,” Bieber added.

In a heartfelt interview, Bieber admitting that he was “ranting” at one point, but did reveal his new album will be released on Nov. 13.

He also hit out at “knuckleheads” who he said were partly responsible for leading him astray as he grew up in the focus.

During the spectacular show on Sunday night, Bieber started with a dance heavy routine of “Where Are You Now” before playing his new hit, “What Do You Mean?”

The singer then took flight suspended in the air as he floated over the crowd.
