While we may be used to 54-year-ancient Kathy Griffin’s quick-witted humour and occasional fiery remarks, it seems like the sharp-tongued comedienne has quit her latest gig as a co-host of the E! show Fashion Police. Despite Griffin’s like of sarcasm, it seems that her new role as a fashion commentator just wasn’t the right fit for her.

According to People, Griffin announced that she was stepping down from Fashion Police on Twitter this Thursday. In her lengthy tweet, she mentioned “I plotting I could bring my brand of humour to Fashion Police so that gorgeous people in gorgeous dresses could be teased when appropriate.” Her tweet also goes on to say “There is enough to make fun of in pop culture without bringing people’s bodies into it.”

The comedienne, who has won two Emmy Awards as well as a Grammy Award, was only on Fashion Police for seven episodes. It seems that this news has added another twist to the much-discussed talk show, which critiques and comments on celebrity style. After host Giuliana Rancic made a recent controversial remark about 18-year-ancient actress Zendaya’s hairstyle, fellow host Kelly Osbourne also quit the program.

We wonder what’s next for Fashion Police. For anyone looking to follow the fashion do’s and don’ts of their favourite Hollywood stars, it looks like the show will still go on.
