Kilmer denies reports he had surgery for throat tumor
“Top Gun” star Val Kilmer reportedly endured off-screen drama this week as the rushed to the hospital with bleeding from a throat tumor.
The 55-year-ancient actor was taken to UCLA Medical Focal point in Santa Monica Monday after someone called 911, law enforcement sources told TMZ.
Kilmer underwent surgery and is currently recovering, though family members believe he compounded the problem by ignoring it for too long, the gossip site reported.
In his most recent public appearance — courtside at a Jan 16 L.A. Clippers game with his son Jack — Kilmer was photographed with a scarf around his neck.
Kilmer wrapped work on an untitled Terrence Malick composition drama a few months ago.
Last month, Kilmer’s shape was in the focus for far different reasons, after sporting a slimmed down look at several public apperances. The artist formerly known as Batman had been locked in a high-profile struggle with his weight for the last decade.
