KISS rocker Paul Stanley’s lost Folgers coffee ad surfaces
Paul Stanley’s lost Folgers ad has surfaced online — and it’s Detroit rock s#!**y!
The circus-themed ad, which appeared on the site Ultimate Classic Rock on Sunday, features a makeup-free Stanley crooning come cringe-worthy lyrics in tribute the freeze-dried supermarket staple.
“Folgers stirs inside of me, and I know what I can be,” the rocker sings. “The limit is the sky, hey world, watch me glide.”
Stanley then delivers brand’s signature line — “The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup!” — before striking a matador pose and vanishing into thin air.

Stanley filmed the spot in 2000, but, for some reason, it never aired.
The guitarist opened up about the spot in an interview with KISSanity in 2000.
“I got a call asking if I was interested in singing a Folger’s commercial. And like many other things, I plotting ‘Why not?’” he said, according to Rolling Stone.
“I wasn’t at all concerned with who thinks it is okay or not okay, cool, not cool, rock ‘n roll or not. I had a blast doing it and like I said, isn’t that what this is all about?”
